Reflecting on the whirlwind of 2023, filled with heartfelt gratitude towards clients, and the excitement of settling my family into Brookfield, for a full year, I find myself invigorated by the fresh possibilities of 2024. With renewed inspiration, I embarked on a journey to reimagine my workspace, transforming my office into a cozy home studio. It's modest and I love it!
Here my focus shifts towards capturing the essence of childhood through child portraits against a soft white backdrop. Trading in props for simplicity, my aim is to create timeless images that encapsulate the pure joy and sweetness of these fleeting years.
These sessions are a dream. For our little loves, first we let them adjust to my home studio. I have a collection of toys for them to play with and for the first bit we just play music, blow bubbles and allow them to feel comfortable while I happily snap a few images and allow them to get used to the gentle flash of my studio light. Then while they're playing I get portraits of them at this gorgeous, fleeting stage of childhood. For your kiddos, it's pretty much like a play date and I'm bringing my camera!
