I offer sweet and simple portrait sessions in my home studio to capture your little love during their first year and these sessions are my favorite! Relaxed and fun, I love capturing every detail.
​
I've dubbed these my 'Cotton Tail' sessions, and you can choose either a half-hour or hour-long session. For their first birthday, consider including a cake smash and bubble bath! Regardless of the time slot you choose, I never rush. If your baby needs a little time to warm up, that's totally fine.

STEP ONE: SCHEDULING
First, let's chat on the phone to ensure I'm the right fit for you and your little love. Usually, a quick, 15-minute phone call is all we need! However, if life gets in the way and that just won't work, feel free to text or e-mail me with a few dates that work for your family. As you pull out your calendar, here are a few things to think about:
- Weekend dates are limited and popular. Many clients who work regular business hours find that by scheduling early in the morning or late in the afternoon, they can enjoy a session with almost no time lost at the office.
- If you have a particular date or holiday by which you need prints or gifts (Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.), be sure to book a date at least one month before that date to ensure sufficient processing and printing time.
- Babies and young children are almost universally at their best first thing in the morning, which is perfect for me too!
Once we've set a date, I'll email you a quick questionnaire and portrait agreement. Once those come through on my end your session is officially on the books!
STEP TWO: THE SESSION ITSELF
Next, I'll send you a Cotton Tails guide that will walk you through everything from choosing outfits to strategies for getting kids to cooperate. If you'd like to discuss anything I'm only a text, call or e-mail away!

A few days before our session is scheduled, I'll reach out to confirm our time and location... at that point, if someone seems to be coming down with something we can talk about our rescheduling options. Otherwise, that's the perfect time to ask any last-minute questions.
I'll email your invoice after your session is complete. There is no fee for rescheduling, however, there is a $50 fee if you cancel within 48 hours of your session and do not reschedule.

The day of the session, please block off a little extra time. Even though my session costs are based on time I like to stay flexible and leave a little wiggle room in case there's some kind of wardrobe malfunction.

Finally, take a breath and relax... we'll take breaks as needed and make it as fun as possible for everyone involved.
STEP THREE: THE FUN PART!
Within two weeks of your session, you'll receive an email from me with a link to your slideshow and gallery! After that, you'll have a full month to download all of your digital files and choose which images you'd like printed.
STEP FOUR: FUN EXTRAS
What you're going to do with your images is an important aspect to consider when you're planning for a photography session, but it's all too often an aspect that's overlooked. After all the time and energy you've invested into your photography session, your images deserve to be created into something tangible. You'll never get the same feeling looking at your images on your screen as you will holding them in your hands, so I include 4x6 inch prints with every session - easy to pop your favorite images into frames around your home or to give as gifts. Your session will also come with one larger print, which is perfect for displaying on a wall in your home or as a special gift. Below is a sample of some of the additional items available for purchase:
DECKLED-EDGE FINE ART PRINTS
Hand torn prints that are truly unique with a rich and textured finish. Each print is carefully torn to reveal a soft, feathered edge that adds a beautiful softness to each image. These archival prints are 100% cotton, acid free and weigh 350gsm.
